Sage Pesto

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup nuts, toasted
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ cup sage leaves, rinsed and chopped
  • ¼ cup parsley, chopped
  • ¼ cup unrefined olive oil
  • 4 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ½ tsp salt

Blend all ingredients together in a food processor.  Substitute for your regular basil pesto. Have brown rice pasta with grilled veggies and pesto, or if you can find a brown rice pizza crust, substitute tomato sauce with pesto, veggies (no cheese).
